Losing Weight with the Help of Nature

Natural weight loss begins with changing your diet and your level of physical activity. Although the latter requires more sweat, it doesn’t mean that a change in your eating habits is something easy to do.
If you want to loose weight in a healthy and sustainable way here are some basic rules that will guide you. First of all your new keyword in diet should be variety. You should build your diet on a large variety of foods and a variety of cooking methods. Don’t stick too hard, to dishes you are familiar with. Try out new ingredients, spices or cooking methods, such as steaming and boiling instead of deep frying.
If your diet is well balanced and varied, chances are you don’t need any additional food supplements or vitamins, as your body gets all the required nutrients.

Another important rule is to use vegetable oil instead of animal fat for cooking, especially if your work is physically unchallenging.
Salt is your enemy, if you want to get control of your body weight. Try to gradually substitute salt with new spices and get used to tasting the actual taste of spices. This is especially important if you cook for your kids, as their taste develops according to what they eat at home and it is much harder to “quit” the spicy tastes.
Here comes the probably most unpopular rule: cut down on your sweets. You should eat sweets only two or three times a week, after meals, but never in between or instead of meals. If you drink coffee or tea, try to put an artificial sweetener in it or use honey.

Milk and dairy products contain lots of vitamins and minerals which help burn fat, so you should consume half a liter of them per day (low-fat milk, yogurt, fresh cheese, kefir etc.).
It is almost commonplace to say that you should eat lots of raw fruits and, if possible, vegetables, but it cannot be mentioned often enough.
Another way of cutting down on your proteins, is to switch to whole grain bread and pastry and choose potatoes or steamed vegetables over rice and pasta.
For a better start you can try some natural appetite suppressants, like Hoodia Gordonii for example. It can give you some visible results and most probably this will be a great motivation for further efforts. But anyway, changing your lifestyle is not something you can do overnight. So be patient with yourself and think about the long-term positive results.
